How to Join a Zoom Meeting – if you do not have a free Zoom Account, and you are a first time Zoom user, and you don’t plan to download Zoom onto your device

You do not have to have a free zoom account, if someone invites you to their Meeting, you can join as a participant in the meeting without creating your own free zoom account.

Here are the instructions on how to easily join a meeting on Zoom on your Laptop or Tablet, or ipad or on your Android Cell phone, by going to the Zoom Meeting webpage. Just make sure that the device that you are using for the Zoom Meeting has got a Camera Built into your device.

Simply follow these 6 steps to join our meeting (we will give you our Meeting ID & Passcode):

1) Go to your Internet Browser (Chrome, etc.)

2) Go to website https://pwa.zoom.us/wc/

3) Click on Join

4) Enter our Meeting ID, then click Join

5) Enter our meeting Passcode

In the pop-up window at the top-left corner of the screen, click Allow to allow Zoom permission for your microphone and camera.

In the Your Name field, enter a display name.

Select the Remember my name for future meetings check box.

Click Join.

You will join the meeting as a guest.

If you want to download Zoom for free onto your device – Cell Phone or ipad, or Tablet. and you want to join Zoom for a free.

First make sure that the device that you are using for the Zoom Meeting has got a Camera Built into your device.

Here are the instructions on how to easily download Zoom onto your Cell phone or ipad or tablet or laptop – it is free, follow these 8 steps below.

To download the Zoom mobile app for Android devices

For iphones go to your APP Store on your phone and search for Zoom App and then follow from Step 3 below :

  1. Tap the Google Play icon.
  2. At the bottom of your screen, tap Apps.
  3. At the top right of your screen, tap the Search icon.
  4. Enter “Zoom” in the search box.
  5. Once your search results appear, tap ZOOM Cloud Meetings.
  6. Tap the Install button.
  7. Tap Accept to confirm the installation.
    Zoom will start to download on your Android device.
    Note: When the Zoom mobile app finishes the installation, the Zoom app icon will appear on your Home screen.
  8. After you finish downloading the Zoom mobile app, you can access and begin to use Zoom by the following methods:
    • If you stayed on Zoom’s Google Play page, tap Open.
    • If you exited Google Play, tap the Zoom mobile app icon on your Home screen.

When you are ready for your Zoom Meeting – then open the Zoom APP on your phone or ipad, or tablet and click on the “Join a meeting” button. Then enter the meeting ID  (which is our Meeting ID and passcode – we will supply you with this)

You will then be in our waiting room, just wait to be admitted by us.

Now you will be actively zooming with us.

How to download the Zoom onto a Laptop & how to Join Zoom for free:

  1. In your internet browser, enter https://zoom.us/
  2. Go to Sign up for free
  3. Complete information to create your free zoom account / login
  4. Once joining process is completed then go to the bottom of zoom’s homepage and click on Download
  5. Click on Zoom Desktop Client
  6. Zoom will start downloading to your laptop 
  7. Open the downloaded folder to complete the installation
  8. You will receive a Zoom Icon on your Desktop at the bottom of your screen
  9. Now you are ready to join a zoom meeting

When you are ready for your Zoom Meeting – then open the Zoom icon on your laptop and sign in (login) with your login details that you created when you Joined Zoom. Then click on the “Join a meeting” button. Then enter the meeting ID & Passcode  (which is our Meeting ID and passcode – we will supply you with this)

You will then be in our waiting room, just wait to be admitted by us. We will admit you, then make sure that your camera is on – click on Start Video and that your sound is on (that you are not muted).

Now you will be actively zooming with us.
