Stress also elevates levels of the aging hormone, cortisol, which suppresses immune function and causes memory loss. Chronic stress can cause insulin resistance and increase the risk of diabetes. It also upsets the balance of brain neurotransmitters (brain messengers), resulting in depression, anxiety and insomnia. Stress suppresses thyroid function, which can cause hyperthyroidism and fatigue.

The Stress Response

Stress makes the Adrenals secrete Cortisol, which releases glucose and Fatty acids into the blood stream to provide energy for the muscles. This leads to increased appetite and Fat deposits in the trunk and abdomen. Stress creates the cravings for high Caloric Food with little or no nutritional value.

Can also lead to poor memory, low self-esteem, depression and indecisiveness, High blood pressure, coronary or heart disease, ulcers and migraines. Irritability, mood swings, sleep deprivation, weight loss, weight gain, substance abuse, low energy and no sex drive.

Firstly we have 4 Calming music videos for you to watch and listen and to Enjoy ! We recommend that you first listen to the calming music videos and then make quiet time alone to do the meditation. We have included an effective 10 minute “Meditation for relaxation” and a 10 minute “Morning Meditation”, as well as a 16 minute “Peace & Acceptance” Meditation for you to do to calm your mind. Then we have some Yoga Practices to do.
