We recommend to Boost your bodies Immune system with an Immune Boosting Supplement, we recommend the following either Viral Choice C Immune Support Capsules, or Viral Guard or Flugon. The Viral Choice C, the Viral Guard and the Flugon all of these come in both Capsule form and in a Syrup for Children.
We also recommend that you take a Vitamin A supplement (10 000iu) for your cellular health, as well as Omega 3 & 6 (EFA’s) to protect your cell walls.
A good Pro-biotic is important to protect your gut health with good bacteria (Microbiome), such as Entiro Daily or Realthing Pre & Probiotics, etc.
BUILDING THE IMMUNE SYSTEM WITH NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS
Viral Choice, Viral Guard & Flugon all contain Antioxidants
such as Vitamin C, Selenium and Zinc. Antioxidants delay or inhibit
cellular damage and may prevent DNA damage.
These 3 recommended supplements also contain a variety of Antivirals, including Echinacea. Antivirals fight off viruses by inhibiting it’s ability to replicate, therefore stopping the virus from multiplying.
Gut Health – the health of our gut bacteria has a critical role in how our immune system reacts to a virus or disease. The composition of your microbiome – the millions of bacteria and other organisms that usually live in our gastrointestinal tract (gut), is a critical part of how sick you could get from Covid-19. It is therefore recommend that you take a good Probiotic daily.
So it’s important to maintain a healthy microbiome to fight COVID-19.
The key is to eat to feed your microbiome. Eating plant-based food you cook yourself and limiting ultra-processed and take-away foods are recommended, while supplementing your diet with natural probiotics such as natural yoghurt (must contain live culture). This will optimise your microbiome, not just for COVID-19, but for your long-term health as well.

The immune system is a complex network of cells, organs and tissues that work in tandem to protect the body from infection. While genetics play a role, the germs we are exposed to over a lifetime, as well as lifestyle factors like diet, stress, sleep, and exercise all play a role in the strength of our immune response, and can affect the body’s ability to fight a virus and a respiratory illness.
The British Nutrition Foundation say that “no food or supplement, that can protect you from getting the coronavirus (COVID-19)”, but added that “having a healthy diet is important in supporting our immune function and many nutrients influence the body’s ability to fight infection.”
Eat a balanced diet. A healthy diet and exercise are important to maintaining a strong immune system. Eating healthy is about consuming the correct nutrients that your body needs to function optimally. A strong Immune System is achieved through your body having the correct Macronutrients, and including Nutrition Timing of meals for sustained energy and also having the correct amount of required daily Kilojoules. Some of the foods that are recommended to include in your diet for their immune-boosting properties are ginger, citrus fruits & tumeric, garlic is also recommended to enhance immune system function, the supplements Viral Choice C and the Viral Guard recommended above contains Garlic.
Medical conditions and Covid-19
We would like to encourage you that if you have any medical conditions, such as Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), Cholesterol, or if you are Overweight or Obese, it is very important for you to eat healthy and to lose weight, and to strengthen your body in these times, as your immune system does not function optimally if you have any of these medical conditions.
It has now been statistically proven that if you have underlying medical conditions that you are at high risk of getting very sick with Covid-19 and that you could even die should you get the virus. Have a look at the following Covid-19 death statistics study on the 14 April 2020, in New York for Age, Gender & Patients with underlying Medical Conditions –Worldometer Statistics.
Many of the patients that died had underlying medical illnesses / conditions, with the total of 6839 deaths from Covid-19 at this time in the New York Study above, 5151 patients who had died had underlying Medical conditions. The statistics show that these 5151 patients had the following underlying medical conditions / illnesses – Diabetes, Hypertension, Lung Disease, Cancer, Immunodeficiency, Heart Disease, Asthma, Kidney Disease, and GI/Liver Disease.
Vitamin A – is responsible for the Health of the Cells Structure & the strength of the Cell Walls. It is important in the health of all cells, but especially in the Sinus & Nasal Cells and the Respiratory cells.
Vitamin C can boost your immune system
Vitamin C – also known as ascorbic acid – is an essential vitamin which means that your body cannot produce it according to Healthline. You must eat enough foods that contain it or take supplements. The recommended dose for women is 75 mg and 90 mg for men.
One of the reasons that people load up on vitamin C in the winter is to boost their immune system. It does so by encouraging the production of white blood cells called lymphocytes and phagocytes that help fight infections, according to Healthline. This also helps to decrease healing time. So, make sure you drink orange juice every morning.
Foods rich in vitamin C – these include broccoli, cantaloupe, cauliflower, kale, kiwi, orange juice, pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, red, green or yellow pepper, sweet potato, strawberries, and tomatoes.
You can take a Vitamin C 1000mg powder (water soluble) supplement to increase your daily Vitamin C intake. The Immune boosting supplements recommended above also contain Vitamin C.
Some promising research suggests that taking a vitamin D supplement – could help your body fight off respiratory illness.
Why would vitamin D lower risk for respiratory illness? Our bodies need adequate vitamin D to produce the antimicrobial proteins (T-cells) that kill viruses and bacteria. “If you don’t have adequate vitamin D circulating, you are less effective at producing these proteins and more susceptible to infection,” says Dr. Adit Ginde, professor of emergency medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Vitamin D can be found in fatty fish, such as salmon, and in milk or foods fortified with vitamin D. In general, our vitamin D levels tend to be influenced by sun exposure, skin tone and latitude — people in northern areas who get less sun exposure in the winter typically have lower vitamin D. The 3 recommended Immune Supplements above also contain Vitamin D.
Lower your stress
Worries about day to day life, the coronavirus, the stock market and the general disruption of life have added to our stress levels, but we know that stress also can make you more susceptible to respiratory illness.
In a series of remarkable studies over 20 years at Carnegie Mellon University, volunteers were exposed to the cold virus (using nose drops) and then quarantined for observation. The researchers found that people who reported less stress in their lives were less likely to develop cold symptoms.
The bottom line: Your body does a better job fighting off illness and healing wounds when it’s not under stress. Learning techniques for managing stress – like exercising, meditation, listening to calming music, controlled breathing or talking to a therapist are all ways to help reduce stress and to help your immune system stay strong.
We invite you to view our “Reduce Stress – Improve your Health” page to find our more about the effects and impact of Stress on the body, on that page we have also supplied some Calming & Relaxation techniques – such as calming relaxation music videos and we have also included 3 basic Calming Meditation session. Natural Supplements to assist with Stress – If you are feeling Stressed or Anxious then we recommend that you take the effective Natural Supplement Solal L-Theanine. L-Theanine is a non-addictive amino acid that is effective in reducing mental and physical stress and increases feelings of relaxation. You can purchase Solal L-Theanine from Dischem stores and other Health Shops and some Pharmacies. Improve your sleep habits. A healthy immune system can fight off infection. A sleep-deprived immune system doesn’t work as well. Your body produces Virus fighting cells and Antibodies while you sleep. In one surprising study, researchers found 164 men and women willing to be exposed to a cold virus. Not everyone got sick. But short sleepers — those who regularly slept less than six hours a night — were 4.2 times more likely to catch the cold compared with those who got more than seven hours of sleep, researchers found. Risk was even higher when a person slept less than five hours a night.
“Proper Rest keeps Cortisol levels low. The only time our body can Heal is when it is at Rest”
The bottom line: Focusing on better sleep habits is a good way to strengthen your immune system. The recommended amount of sleep is six to seven hours a night. Stick to a regular bedtime and wake-up schedule. Avoid screens, night-eating and exercise right before bedtime.
We invite you to watch this informative video by Dr Eric Berg, explaining how the Immune System works in detail and how to strengthening your bodies Immune System. We also recommend that you watch the video “Covid-19 Animation: What happens if you get Coronavirus” – to learn how the virus cells attack and multiply in your body. We recommend that you stay on this webpage while you watch all of the videos that we have provided, so that you can continue reading.
Avoid alcohol consumption. Numerous studies have found a link between alcohol consumption and immune function. Research shows people who drink in excess are more susceptible to respiratory illness and pneumonia and recover from infection and wounds more slowly. Alcohol alters the number of microbes in the gut microbiome, a community of microorganisms that affect the immune system. Excessive alcohol can damage the lungs, and impair the mucosal immune system, which is essential in helping the body recognize pathogens and fight infection. And it’s not just chronic drinking that does damage, daily drinking and binge drinking can also impair the immune system.
We have included this informative video explaining in 3D how Coronavirus (Covid-19) infects and invades the body.
